Changes to Meal Services: Pick-up Only Available at 7 Community Sites and 2 Mobile Sites

Meal Service announcement

Good afternoon Parents, 

We have made some adjustments to our meal program in an effort to limit the number of workers at each site in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and in an effort to sustain this meal program during school closure in response to Covid-19.  

Beginning Friday, March 27, we will offer drive-up, walk-up for meal service at the following sites:

Sudduth Elementary School – Evergreen Drive (Bus Lane), 10:30 am until 12:30 pm

Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary School – Pilcher Street (Bus Lane), 10:30 am until 12:30 pm

The Learning Center – 16th Section Road, 10:30 am until 11:30 am 

Former West Oktibbeha High School/Maben High School – 39 Timberwolves Drive., Maben; 10:30 am until 11:30 am

Montgomery Quarters – South Montgomery, 10:30 am until 11:00 am

Pleasant Grove Church – 2257 Moor High Road, 10:30 am until 11:30 am 

Blackjack MB Church – 4907 Blackjack Road, 10:30 am until 11:30 am 

Reed Road Mobile Sites – Brooksville Gardens, 10:30 am until 10:50 am; Chandler Park, 11 am until 11:20 am; Reed Place, 11:30 am until 11:50 am 

Louisville Street Mobile Sites – Starkville Sportsplex, 10:30 am until 10:50 am; Forest Creek Apartments, 11:00 am until 11:20 am; Conner Heights; 11:30 am until 11:50 am; Sand Hill, 12:00 pm until 12:20 pm 

Meal service at these sites will continue each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during Covid-19 school closure.

Three Options for Meal Service:

Child Pick-Up:  Children 0-18 may receive free meal service at each meal site.  This is the ONLY option available for Reed Road Mobile Sites and Louisville Street Mobile Sites. 

Parent Pick-Up:  Parents who are unable to bring their children to a pick-up site for meal service may receive meals upon completion of a consent form.  Consent forms are available at each pick up site for completion. 

Volunteer Pick -Up:  Families who are unable to come to a pick-up site for meal service can arrange for someone (a friend, relative, volunteer) to deliver meals to your home.  The parent must complete a consent form giving permission for volunteer pick-up.  The volunteer will also be require to sign a form acknowledging receipt of meals at the pick-up site.  Consent forms are available at each pick up site.  The District is no longer able to provide door-to-door meal delivery or facilitate volunteer meal delivery.  Families must make arrangements for meal pick-up service.

ONLY students living in the Starkville Oktibbeha School District are eligible. 

At-home learning packets will also be available for pick-up at these sites on Friday, March 27.
