21st CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) is a free after school program available at Partnership Middle School and Armstrong Junior High School. STEAM Ahead CCLC program serves students in grades 6-8 at Partnership Middle School and Armstrong Junior High. The CCLC programs focus on enriching student knowledge and understanding of STEM and art.
PROGRAM GOALS:
- Homework and tutorial support
- Additional academic instruction
- One-on-one support
- Academic enrichment with a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and art, integrating art and science into core courses of English/language arts and mathematics
- Social and behavioral development support and bullying prevention
ELIGIBILITY:
Students in grades 6-8 who are enrolled in Partnership Middle School or Armstrong Junior High School may attend 21st Century Community Learning Centers.
HOURS:
Students attend CCLC at their school for about two hours after the regular school day is dismissed. CCLC dismissal time is determined on a school by school basis.
SCHEDULE:
Fall services are tentatively scheduled to begin August 8, 2022. The program operates Monday-Thursday each week.
ACTIVITIES:
STEM focused projects and experiments, homework assistance, and academic tutoring
