Emerson School is seeking a contractual Educational Coach for a sixth month periodtobegin in March 2022, Monday-Friday, 6-8 hours/day.
As an Educational Coach, responsibilities will include:
- Plan, develop, schedule, and/or provide in-service training and evaluation of childcare staff
- Plan and conduct Professional Development Days
- Meet with Director at the beginning and end of each visit to ensure that their training objectives are met and share observations
- Take responsibility for training new hires and ensure that their mentor/mentee relationships are on track
- Review and complete Building Evaluations and follow up on outstanding items
- Ensure that the school and staff conform to federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and licensing requirements
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
- Maintains accurate and timely assessments and progress notes for all assigned staff. Maintains confidential student, parent and/or school information in accordance with SOCSD policies
- Performs all such related and non-related duties as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Counseling or a similar discipline
- Two years’ experience in a position with similar responsibilities
- Demonstrated successful experiences in collaboration, community building, early childhood and family support
- Familiar with MSDH Childcare Regulations
