Discover a whole new level of excellence on Discovery Street, our fee-based, summer and after-school childcare program for children enrolled in grades PreK-5 in the Starkville Oktibbeha School District.
Enrollment opens February 11, 2022 at 8:00 am on a first-come, first-serve basis for both summer 2022 and after-school for the 2022-2023 academic year. Enrollment is limited. First priority is given to children currently enrolled in the Discovery Street program.
Summer 2022 Program Dates: June 6, 2022- July 15, 2022 (Program is closed on July 4th)
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, & snack provided
Location: Sudduth Elementary School
Transportation: Parents will drop-off and pick- up students at Sudduth Elementary. Students will be bussed to Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary for breakfast and lunch. Students will need to be at Sudduth by 8:15 each morning to be bussed to Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary School for breakfast.
Registration Fee: $50 (Non-Refundable)
Cost: $1200; first payment of $600 is due May 1; second payment of $600 is due June 1; $100 discount for multiple children

After-School Program Dates: July 26, 2022-June 1,2023 (Program is closed during all school holidays) Time: Afterschool until 5:30 pm
Meals: Snack provided
Location: Sudduth Elementary School
Transportation: Students will be bused from Henderson Ward-Stewart Elementary School and Overstreet Elementary School to Sudduth Elementary School for Discovery Street after-school program. Parents will pick-up students at Sudduth Elementary School.
Registration Fee: $150 (Non-Refundable) + $42.50 for July Fee *Must be paid at the time of the registration fee. Monthly Fee: $170 per month (August-May)

Please enter via the doors at the south entrance of Emerson School. Discovery Center hours are 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, during the school year and 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. during the summer. The office is closed on July 4th.
