Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District capped off Intersession week on Friday, October 18 by honoring a special group of Jackets who help to create positive learning experiences for students every day – the SOCSD Custodial and Maintenance staff. The district Administration and Board of Trustees hosted a luncheon to treat and honor our custodians and maintenance workers with delicious food from Georgia Blue.
Board members joined Central Office staff along with Mississippi House of Representatives Education Chair, Rob Roberson, and his daughter Mallory, to serve the team and thank them for the work they do every day (even during Fall Break) to make our facilities clean, safe, warm and inviting.
"Noone works harder than you all to make sure our boys and girls have a clean and safe place to learn each day," said Superintendent, Dr. Tony McGee during the luncheon. "We appreciate all you do, and the lunch today is just a small token of our appreciation."
