2017 YES! Summer Camps are finally here! Registrations opens April 28 at 8 am at Greensboro Center.
Registration forms can be downloaded at the links below and printed. Hard copies will also be available at the Greensboro Center.
Space is limited so register your child early. Checks can be made to Starkville Science.
YES! requests parents limit registration to one camp in order allow maximum participation.
June 5-9th
Space Camp
Monday-Friday Day Camp for rising 3-5th graders
The next best thing to space travel! Students will become immersed in the exploration of our galaxy and beyond. Activities include indoor star labs, solar telescopes, rocket science, and even a trip to a planetarium. The camp includes one overnight “camping” experience for adequate stargazing. Our space camp is out of this world!
Camp Cost: $100.00 Includes all meals and trips
June 25-30th
Outdoor Survival Camp
Sunday-Friday Overnight Camp for rising 6-9th graders
Are you up for an adventure? Do you love camping and the outdoors? This overnight camping experience will introduce students to skills such as fire-building, wilderness first-aid, climbing, hiking, gear packing, fishing, star navigation, map reading, shelter building and so much more!
Camp Cost: $150.00 Space Limited to 24 Students

Nature Art Camp

Monday-Friday Day Camp for rising 3-5th graders
Calling all scientists interested in combining the wonders of our natural world with imaginative creations. Discover enchanted forests and hidden creatures. Each day students will construct masterpieces using nature as their inspiration. Students will also morph into their favorite animals for daily games of “survival” and “adaptation”. Prepare for fun and fantasy!

July 17-21st
Monday-Friday Day Camp for rising 6-8th graders
Do you ever wonder what it’s like to work in the world of wildlife animals? This week will be dedicated to exploring different careers that include working with creatures big and small! We will visit a with keepers at a zoo, owners of a wildlife sanctuary, wildlife rehabilitators, veterinarians, biologists, horse trainers, and even farmers to find out the endless possibilities of working with animals. This camp will be field trip based.
