Starkville Area Arts Council Education Grant Applications Accepted beginning Sept. 21

By Nicole Thomas

The Starkville Area Arts Council supports arts in education through its annual grant program, which awarded nearly $5,000 to teachers in the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District during the 2014-2015 school year to fund innovative projects incorporating the visual arts, music, theatre, dance, or literature in the curriculum.

The SAAC will begin accepting grant applications for the 2015-16 school year on September 21.  Teachers and administrators in grades K-12 may apply.  Grants range from $200 to $500 depending on the project and numbers of students involved.

Click on the link below to download an application or visit the SAAC website at www.starkvillearts.org.  The deadline to apply is October 23.  Winners be announced in December.
