The Starkville School District and Armstrong Middle School in partnership with Mississippi State University’s College of Education present National Geographic’s Giant Traveling Map of Africa for a community wide event on February 19, from 6 until 7:30 pm, at Armstrong Middle.
The basketball court-sized map will be on display in the gym for children and adults alike to explore the world’s second largest continent. Enormously entertaining, the hands and feet-on (remember your socks) map allows participants to travel Africa’s tremendous Sahara, deep forest, and endless savanna.
