Congratulations to the Class of 2014!   SHS celebrated the Class of 2014’s accomplishments during the annual awards program, honoring students for outstanding achievement in academics, arts, athletics and activism.

SHS named Will Klein as Valedictorian and Kelley Mazzola as Salutatorian.  Will and Kelley will lead SHS’s graduation program on Friday, May 23, which will be held at Humphrey Coliseum.

SHS also honored Emily Turner as STAR student and Andrew Lark as STAR teacher.  Turner, who scored a 33 on the ACT, selected Mr. Lark as the teacher who had most impacted her high school career.

Class of 2014 by the numbers:
12 seniors will graduate with highest honors, earning a 4.0 grade point average throughout their high school career.

21 seniors were honored as Superintendent’s Distinguished Seniors, an award program established to recognize seniors who have earned highest individual honors at the state and national level of competition in achievement and service.  The list includes nine Eagle Scouts, three state champions, silver and gold medalists in national competitions, visual and performing artists, civic leaders, a National Merit Finalist, and a United States Naval Academy Appointment.
