SHS Senior Emily Turner Named 2014 Presidential Scholar at Mississippi State

Congratulations to SHS senior Emily Turner on being named a 2014 Presidential Scholar at Mississippi State University. Emily is one of only ten students selected across the country to receive MSU’s most prestigious scholarship award which totals $70,000.

Emily will graduate with highest honors from SHS in May. She was selected as a National Merit Finalist earlier this year, and she was also chosen as SHS’s STAR Student for scoring a 33 on her ACT.

Emily, who plans to pursue a degree in architecture, is the fourth SHS student to become a Presidential Scholar at MSU in the last two years. She joins 2013 graduates Jack Bryan, Holly Travis and Emily Damm.
