Each year, April is designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and the SOSD Discovery Center's Families Strengthening Families program provides special programming to encourage our community to #StandUpforChildren: See Something. Say Something. This theme reflects a simple truth about the realities of child abuse... If a child is being abused, change will only happen through the intervention of an adult.
The Starkville Oktibbeha School District Child Abuse Prevention Month seeks to raise awareness, provide tools and promote action that will prevent the abuse or exploitation of children in our greater community.
