  • GUEST SPEAKERS
    Bring real-world application to the classroom om a one-time of recurring bases.
     
  • CAREER MENTORS
    Meet regularly with a group of students over the course of the school year, helping them explore and learn about career fields.
     
  • LOANED CLASSROOM INSTRUCTOR
    Teach an industry or technical course for high school students.
     
  • PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
    Work with our team to facilitate industry-related project-based learning experiences to connect core skills to real-world needs.

Beyond the Classroom

Facilitate a real-world experience at your work site or an industry-related site:

  • FIELD TRIPS
    Promote your career field and allow students to see your industry close-up in half- or full-day tours.
     
  • JOB SHADOWING
    Allow students to complete a job shadowing day in your business. your employees possess a wealth of knowledge to share with future workers.
     
  • STUDENT INTERNSHIPS
    Provide students with fall, spring, summer or intersession internships and work-based learning opportunities for course credit with your organization. Internships may be paid or unpaid.

Supporting Our Team

Share your career and industry expertise as we develop ongoing plans for the Academic Houses at SHS:

  • CURRICULUM ADVICE
    Recommend Industry Certifications and help our team edit curriculum to meet industry standards.
     
  • TEACHER EXTERNSHIPS
    Help teachers stay current and learn practical applications for what they teach by hosting a team of Academic House teachers for 1 to 3 days in your business.
     
  • ACADEMIC HOUSES ADVISORY BOARD
    Meet a minimum of four times per year with other Partners in Excellence to provide industry guidance to our program.
