The Starkville Oktibbeha School District has installed visual and audio enhancement technology in 25 classrooms at SHS and Armstrong Jr High School to improve sound and sight for in-person and virtual students with a $100k Governor's Emergency Education Relief Grant.
With wearable microphones, sound enhancing equipment and cameras, the technology helps teachers better engage students in the classroom as well as those learning virtually. In addition to making sure teachers can be heard through masks and at any location in the classroom, the equipment makes it easy to record lessons or special classroom presentations to be used later.
