Registration for PreK at Sudduth and West Elementary Schools is scheduled for February 7, 8 & 9 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm each day.
Four-year-olds begin their learning adventures with a #StarkvilleSpark in the Starkville Oktibbeha School District's excellent pre-kindergarten program. Registration for PreK at Sudduth and West Elementary Schools is scheduled for February 7, 8 & 9 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm each day. Sudduth will host PreK registration in the gym, and West parents may visit the school office to register.
Parents who wish to register their child for PreK must attend one of the on-site registration days to complete an online form, submit required paperwork in person and sign up for a screening time.
SOSD PreK is administered through the Starkville Oktibbeha Early Learning Collaborative (SOELC), which is housed at the SOSD Discovery Center. To be eligible to register for the program, students must be four years old on or before September 1, 2023.

Through SOSD PreK classrooms, our youngest Yellow Jackets grow skills and a love of learning that prepares them to succeed as they continue in school, and the results are showing! For the 2021-22 school year, children in SOELC PreK classrooms scored an average of 18 points higher than the target score on Mississippi's Kindergarten Readiness Assessment.
